Japanese Ride-Sharing Program Starts in Karuizawa during GW; 25 vehicles to be picked up by GO app and private cars to be used

GO started a transportation business (Japanese-style ride-sharing) using private cars in Karuizawa, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano Prefecture.

As an effort to accommodate the increase in tourists during Golden Week, up to 25 vehicles, including 19 private cars, will be operated in cooperation with local cab companies. The service covers the entire Karuizawa area, and rideshares may pick up passengers when arranged through the “Call a taxi/rideshare” from the “GO” app.

Rideshare fares are determined prior to boarding the vehicle and require advance payment through the app.
