May 4 is Star Wars Day, and we were among the first to see Disney’s Flagship Tokyo with a strong Force presence!

Posted on 2024-04-262024-05-01 by Editor in Chief

The Disney Flagship Tokyo, the flagship Disney Store in Shinjuku, Tokyo, will also have special exhibits and sell limited collections. We have checked out the store ahead of time.

Walt Disney Japan will hold “Star Wars” related events throughout Japan in conjunction with “Star Wars Day” on May 4.

Perfect for your Star Wars code! Logoed items and the 25th anniversary of the release of The Phantom Menace are also available!

Star Wars Day” was created by combining May the 4th with the famous line from the Star Wars series, “May the Force be with you. Did you know that this is a special day that is celebrated all over the world every year?

If you are a Star Wars fan, you are excited & so excited as the same day approaches. Many must be looking forward to it every year. In the midst of all this, “Star Wars Day” merchandise began rolling out at Disney Stores on April 26.

The store has a special area. A wide variety of goods are available. The “May the 4th” logo and the year 2024 are sure to make you feel special. The droid duo of R2-D2 and C-3PO are sure to bring a smile to your face. The “pin badge” (2,400 yen) is also available for your collection! Both will be on sale on May 4.

A special Star Wars showroom will be open in the store from April 26 to May 6! Stormtrooper and Death Trooper statues measuring 1.5 to 1.8 meters will be displayed as photo spots. The figures look as if they could move at any moment to interrogate and take you away, making them a bit hard to approach, but such a tense atmosphere is only possible with the series.

In addition, a number of items are currently available to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (Episode 1)” movie in 2024.

The first thing to check out is the actual “Darth Maul Legacy Lightsaber” (35,000 yen), a Darth Maul model with a unique lightsaber.

This model is actually on sale at the popular “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” area at Disney Parks in the United States. If you are one of those …… who couldn’t buy it because you didn’t know how to bring it back to Japan from the park, don’t worry, you can buy it in Japan! The “Darth Maul Legacy Lightsaber Set” (68,000 yen), which allows you to connect two lightsabers and feel like Darth Maul, is also available online.

The brand mainly offers apparel items such as long-sleeved parkas (7,400 yen) and short-sleeved T-shirts (2,800 yen). The secret behind the popularity of the “Star Wars” design items is that they are easy to wear and blend in easily with everyday life. Why not try them for yourself?

And I was personally interested in the made-to-order series “D-Made”. This lab is running a free “MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU 2024” print campaign until May 6. It’s a great way to celebrate with anniversary editions such as “T-shirts” (3,300 yen) and “tote bags” (4,290 yen).

In addition, the Disney Flagship Tokyo exclusive “Star Wars Quiz Tournament” was also held on May 4, the day of Star Wars Day! I took part in the quiz as a demonstration, and although I thought it would be easy, I struggled mightily with all the difficult and unusual questions that would make aficionados groan!

The quizzes will be given by the Specialty Cast and will range in difficulty from easy to very difficult. If you get a high score, you may be rewarded with a nice saurize! By the way, the secret to success is to watch the episode that marks the 25th anniversary! The trick is to watch the 25th anniversary episodes! This may be a good hint. If you are planning to attend this event, please make sure to review it beforehand. There will be 3 sessions: 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm.

We also participated in the “Disney Store Rock, Paper, Scissors” game, which is a casual way to enjoy the celebratory atmosphere at the store. If you win, you will receive a special card distributed exclusively at the Disney Flagship Tokyo on Star Wars Day. The limited cards will only be available on May 4 and will end as soon as they are gone. Pose with your lightsaber in a “goo” pose or a “par” pose for the Force, or just try it out and smile, so be sure to join in!

Disney Flagship Tokyo will raise your Star Wars Day spirits just by going shopping. Why not visit and feel the strong force that overflows in the store?
