Tokyo Disneyland will introduce a new attraction set in the world of the movie “Sugar Rush” in Tomorrowland in FY2026 and beyond. Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blaster,” currently in operation, will close in October 2024.

The new attraction is an indoor attraction with interactive games for both children and adults. The new attraction is a renewal of the “Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blaster” attraction at Tokyo Disneyland.

Sugar Rush,” the theme of the Disney animated film, is a story that transcends the boundaries of multiple arcade games. Ralph, who has played the role of a villain in popular video games, embarks on an action-packed journey to become a true hero. Along the way, he meets Vanellope, an energetic girl, and their adventures unfold in a video game.

In the attraction, guests struggle to save the world of “Sugar Rush,” a candy land racing game that is about to be destroyed by the “sugar bug,” a glitch created by the Great Candy King. The film is about Ralph, Vanellope, and their friends. Ralph, Vanellope and their friends join forces to restore the Sugarbugs to their original cute and adorable form of cookies, cakes and other sweets.

The adjacent Planet M commercial facility will also undergo theme changes and renovations.
