Enchanted by the shining lanterns! I rode the new DisneySea ride, Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival!

In this issue, we report on our ride aboard Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, a new attraction that allows visitors to travel to the story of the movie “Rapunzel on the Tower,” a world first for a Disney theme park!

Relive Rapunzel’s “Best Day Ever”

Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival” is a water-flow ride attraction. Visitors can board a gondola-like boat and follow the story as it travels along the river that flows through the kingdom.

This is the first attraction in a Disney theme park where guests head to the Lantern Festival with the story intact. It is truly a world-first experience.

And here is something to keep in mind about the time to board the attraction. We recommend enjoying it in the daytime under the blue sky, but we also recommend leaving at dusk or at night, just like in the movie. In addition to the romanticism, the connection between the outdoor areas is very realistic!

The boathouses leading up to the boarding area are busy with work on the boats that will be used for the annual Lantern Festival. As you walk around the queue line, you can see the boat carpenters hard at work on blueprints, boats in the process of being built, posters, and other items for the festival.

When I asked, I was told that in addition to production, they also rent out boats to guests visiting the Lantern Festival! So, in other words, guests who visit the festival depart on boats here.
