Toyota Conic Pro will launch the “OSAMPO” demonstration test, a circular sightseeing service around the Odaiba and Aomi areas using Toyota’s C+walk T walking area electric vehicle and GPS-linked voice guidance, on May 12, in conjunction with the SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 event hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The demonstration test will begin on May 12.
In the experiment, the electric mobility vehicle “C+walk T” will provide audio sightseeing information in Japanese and English while cruising along a predetermined route in the Odaiba/Aomi area. The tour will run from 11:00 to 20:00 on May 12, 18, 19, 25, and 26. Each tour lasts 40 to 60 minutes and is free of charge.
C+walk T is a three-wheeled electric mobility vehicle that travels on sidewalks at speeds of up to 6 km/h. It does not require a driver’s license and is characterized by its standing posture.
The purpose of this demonstration experiment is to confirm the buzz and acceptability to tourists in the Odaiba/Aomi area, and to look into the possibility of sustainable paid commercialization in the area.
