On May 8, Jetstar Japan introduced an Airbus A321LR aircraft on its Narita – Pudong, Shanghai route.
The Narita-Shanghai route has four round-trip flights per week, and from May 8 to July 29, the A321LR (238 seats) will be deployed for up to three round-trips per week (Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday) to meet the rapidly growing inbound demand by introducing an aircraft with more seats than the A320 (180 seats).
The first A321LR was introduced in July 2022, and three A321LRs are currently in operation on domestic routes, but this is the first A321LR to be introduced on an international route. equipped with a USB power supply and mobile device holder, and a new engine that contributes to reducing environmental impact and improving cabin quietness.
