Tokyu Corporation will operate the second Shinkansen-designed wrapping train (for the time being) on the Series 5050-4000, 1 formation (10-car formation) used on the Toyoko and Shin-Yokohama Line systems from May 14.
The train is specially decorated to look more like the Shinkansen than the first train (Series 3020 wrapped train) that has been in operation on the Meguro Line and Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line since March 4. In addition to wrapping the entire train, the design is based on Shinkansen white with two Shinkansen blue lines under the side windows. The train was again operated with the cooperation of JR Tokai.
This will also be the first specially decorated train used on the Toyoko Line since the “Shibuya Hikarie-go” debuted in April 2013 and the “Blue Toad” reprinted wrapping debuted in September 2017.
The service area includes the Sotetsu Main Line and Sotetsu Izumino Line – Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line – Tokyu Toyoko Line – Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line – Tobu Tojo Line, Yokohama Rapid Transit Minatomirai Line – Tokyu Toyoko Line – Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line – Seibu Ikebukuro Line and Tobu Tojo Line.
