Casio Computer Co. will release a G-SHOCK with designs of 30 dolphins and whales on June 14.
The GMD-W5601K, GW-8201K, and GW-6904K models commemorate the 30th anniversary of the collaboration with ICERC Japan, which conducts research and educational activities related to dolphin and whale ecology.
The band is printed with the ICERC Japan logo and a dolphin or whale illustration written by whale artist Hiromu Arata, and the dolphin or whale illustration appears on the LCD when the backlight is on.
While the base color of the band and bezel is white, the gold accent color and the “Love The Sea And The Earth” symbol engraved on the back cover create a special feeling befitting a commemorative model.
In consideration of the environment, the watch is equipped with Tough Solar, which generates electricity from sunlight and fluorescent light, and the band and bezel are made of biomass plastic. In addition, the watch is packaged in a special box made of recycled paper and a drawstring bag made of 100% cotton.
The GMD-W5601K is priced at 26,950 yen, the GW-8201K at 79,200 yen, and the GW-6904K at 29,150 yen.
