Kagari Kisshotei (2-1-1 Koorogi-cho, Yamanaka Onsen, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture), operated by H.P.D. Corporation, will offer a limited time “Hotaru Viewing” lodging plan with transportation from June 1 to 15 (except Tuesdays and Thursdays).
Kagari Kisshotei is a modern hot spring hotel located just a short walk from the Korogibashi Bridge on the Tsurusenkei River, where all rooms have a river view. Guests can enjoy seasonal views from the open-air baths, private baths, and lobby lounge. There are 48 rooms of six types, including Japanese-style rooms with an open-air bath and Western-style rooms with natural hot spring baths and Simmons beds.
The Firefly Viewing Plan takes guests to a waterside spot where genji botaru (Japanese fireflies) dance at night (tour time 60 minutes). As a bonus, a sparkling gold-leaf firefly cocktail will be served at dinner.
Dinner is “Kaga Jiwamon Kaiseki (90 minutes with free beer, shochu, and soft drinks),” featuring seafood such as sweet shrimp, Wajima puffer fish, Nodoguro, snow crab, and cold yellowtail, as well as Kaga vegetables such as Goroshima kintoki and kintoki grass.
Also included are a ticket to Tsurusenkei Kawayuka, where you can taste Kaga-bocha (Japanese tea) while surrounded by the murmuring of the river, and a Yuge Kaido “street walking ticket” that allows you to choose one of Yamanaka Onsen specialties, such as hand-made croquettes from a butcher store.
Other free services during your stay include happy hour with beer and cocktails after taking a bath in the evening, local cuisine belobero (egg agar) in the evening, tokoroten in the morning, coffee and Kaga stick tea in the lobby lounge, KAGA pudding before bedtime, and a traditional performance of “Kaga Taiko” (Friday through Sunday from 8:45 pm).
Plan rates are from 20,500 yen per person per room for 2 persons, from 18,500 yen per room for 3 persons, and from 17,500 yen per room for 4 persons, per night with evening breakfast.
