On May 27, Marna will release the Shupatto Umbrella UV 55cm, a parasol that can be used in both sunny and rainy weather. It will be available in three colors: white, brown, and black, priced at 8,800 yen each.
The Shupatto Umbrella, which has been available since May 2023, uses fabric with UV-cut, light-shielding, and heat-shielding effects. It has no belt or clasp, and can be folded at once by a unique mechanism that wraps the fabric in conjunction with the closing movement.
It also has a “stopper for drying” that can be secured in the middle open position without the need to press a button when opening or closing, due to the button-less locking system. The length of the main frame is 55 cm, the handle is speckled with a translucent pattern, and the stone butt is made of metal.
