On May 15, Osaka City Bus and Reship began selling “one-day bus passes” that can be purchased on a web application using the mobile ticketing system “QUICK TRIP (QUICK RIDE WEB version).

The price of a one-day bus ticket is 500 yen for adults and 100 yen for children. On the same day of use, passengers can get on and off any number of Osaka City Bus general route buses (except for buses bound for IKEA Tsuruhama, Universal Studios Japan, airport limousine buses, and on-demand buses).

Unlike the purchase on the app (Android/iOS version), which is convenient for daily bus users, the new web app version does not require a download and supports social login with SNS accounts. The new web app is suitable for temporary use, such as for sightseeing, as it allows users to complete the entire process from ticket purchase to use of the bus.

In the future, the company plans to offer a wide range of ticket types, such as time tickets and combination tickets that include admission to nearby facilities and boarding passes, in order to increase the use of buses not only by local residents but also by tourists.
