JR West Japan, Osaka Terminal Building, and JR West Osaka Kaihatsu have set July 31 as the opening date for Innogate Osaka, a station building directly connected to the west exit of Osaka Station, and Balchika 03 (3-2-123 Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka City), a restaurant and store in the same building.
In conjunction with this project, the “Osaka Station West Side Art Project (tentative)” will be launched. The theme of the project includes a public artwork by Hirohiko Araki, author of the “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” manga series, based on the “Fountain Boy,” a bronze statue that once served as the symbol of Osaka Station.
On the same day, the commercial facility “KITTE Osaka” and the hotel “THE OSAKA STATION HOTEL, Autograph Collection” (3-2-2 Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) in “JP Tower Osaka” are scheduled to open.
