Right in front of Osaka Castle! Stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle, a waterfront hotel at the intersection of the Neyagawa and Okawa Rivers.

The hotel is located on the waterfront at the confluence of the Neyagawa River and the Okawa River, and the interior design of the hotel is based on the concept of “Osaka, the City of Water. The hotel’s interior design is based on the concept of “Osaka, the city of water.” The hotel’s interior design incorporates the characteristic diamond-shaped pattern of the Hishigakikaisen, merchant ships that traveled between Osaka and Edo during the Edo period, and the carpet is designed to resemble a harbor in the shape of a wave. The corridor from the lobby to the guest room elevator hall is reminiscent of a jetty, creating the illusion of touring Osaka by boat.

Restaurant SEN offers an Osaka-style menu. Restaurant SEN serves buffet-style dishes, but also offers a la carte dishes. The buffet offers a wide variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, as well as freshly baked breads, fruits, and sweets. An interesting feature is the “Omoroi Corner,” where takoyaki, an Osaka specialty, was being grilled and served on the spot at the time of our visit. It is amazing that hot takoyaki can be eaten at a hotel. Incidentally, a giant octopus is depicted in the background of a private room in the restaurant. The restaurant is open from 6:30 to 10:00 for breakfast buffet, 11:30 to 14:30 for lunch buffet, 14:30 to 17:30 for cafe, 17:30 to 21:00 for dinner buffet, and 11:30 to 22:00 for a la carte.

Standard guest rooms offer Castle View and Riverside View Four main types of guest rooms are available: Guest Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, Executive Rooms, and Suites. They are then divided into Castle View overlooking Osaka Castle and Riverside View overlooking the Okawa River. Guest rooms include “King Room River View” (26m2) and “Twin Room River View” (28m2). Guests can relax while watching the sightseeing boats on the river, and in spring, they can enjoy the cherry blossoms blooming from the riverbank to the Mint Bureau. Deluxe rooms include the “King Room Castle View” (24m2) and “Twin Room Castle View” (26m2). As the name suggests, these rooms offer a view of Osaka Castle from above (or at the same level of height), which is not normally seen.

Rooms on higher floors also have access to the Executive Lounge. Executive Rooms are located on the higher floors from 17th to 20th floor, and there are four types of rooms: “King Executive Room Castle View” (25m2) and “Twin Executive Room Castle View” (25m2) facing Osaka Castle, “King Executive Room River View” (26m2) and “Twin Executive Room River View” (26m2) facing the Okawa River. King Executive Room River View” (26m2) and “Twin Executive Room River View” (26m2). The rooms are also equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, and feature access to the Executive Lounge on the 20th floor.

Suites with a close view of Osaka Castle The suites include the King Premium Suite with Castle View (92m2) and King Deluxe Suite with Castle View (65m2). Each has a 65-inch HD TV in the living room and bedroom, Bluetooth speakers and a working desk, and a spacious bathroom, making them top-class rooms with a special feel.
