Porsche Japan began accepting applications from the general public for its “LEARN with Porsche” scholarship students on May 20 as part of its unique CSR activities in Japan.
LEARN with Porsche is a joint program between the company and the University of Tokyo’s Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology to help young people realize their dreams, and has been held three times in the past since 2021.
The program takes the form of an experiential camp where participants tackle issues through communication and experiences that do not rely on smartphones and other information devices, and is scheduled to run for about five days in 2024. Two programs will be offered: a summer program and a manufacturing program.
The summer program is open to about 10 junior high and high school students and will be held from August 20 to 24, traveling throughout Japan. Details of the program will not be disclosed until the morning of the day of participation. Applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on June 30.
The manufacturing program is open to about 10 high school and technical college students and will be held in the Tokachi region of Hokkaido from July 29 to August 2. The program will involve hands-on activities such as repair, maintenance, manufacturing, and creation with experts in various industrial fields. The application period is until June 20, 2010, at 5:00 p.m.
For each program, the company will cover travel and lodging expenses.
