Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will open a new hotel, Mandarin Oriental, Rome, during 2026.
In addition to Mandarin Oriental, Milan and Mandarin Oriental, Lake Como, which are already in operation, this will be the fifth hotel in Italy, following Mandarin Oriental, Cristallo Cortina, scheduled to open in 2025, and Mandarin Oriental, Portocervo, scheduled to open in 2026.
The new hotel in Rome is located in a quiet area within the ancient ruins of the “Gardens of Sallust” and is within walking distance of the city’s main tourist attractions.
The 108 rooms, including suites, are housed in 10 renovated villas built in the 19th century. The rooms will also offer views of the lush gardens and the city of Rome. There will also be six restaurants and bars, including an al fresco style restaurant where guests can dine al fresco and the Mandarin Bar on the loop-top terrace with a great view.
In addition, the Spa at Mandarin Oriental, a wellness facility, will offer a menu of treatments in seven treatment rooms, one of which will be a VIP treatment room. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental will also feature a bedrock bath, sunbathing sundeck, fitness center, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
The hotel’s architecture and interior design are also carefully selected, with the restaurant commissioned to Dimore Studio, which designed the new cars of the European luxury train “Orient Express”.
