Mondo Design released “Trolley Case S” from “SEAL,” a brand of bags made from scrap tires, on May 20. The price is 187,000 yen, and orders will be taken at SEAL’s Omotesando main store.
This carry case is a collaboration with HOKUTAN, a fiber trunk manufacturer founded in 1924 and headquartered in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture. Tire tubes that have not been crushed or otherwise specially processed and are still discarded are reused by attaching them to the entire surface of the product. By utilizing the original characteristics of the tire tube as it is, the product is said to be highly durable and waterproof.
It measures 340 x 200 x 460 mm (W x D x H). Four colors are available: black, red, brown, and natural.
The internal structure is made of eco-friendly fiber material made from recycled paper, it has two TSA locks, and the handle is made of genuine leather.
