As part of the “Fukuoka/Oita Destination Campaign” being held by the JR Group, Fukuoka Prefecture, and Oita Prefecture, Nippon Travel Agency will launch “Fukuoka/Oita Trip by WEST EXPRESS Ginga and Series 50 Coach,” a limited tour departing June 28.
Applications for the tour will be accepted by phone as indicated in the brochure starting at 10:00 a.m. on May 23 (not available at all branches or on the website).
The Oita Overnight Plan and the Fukuoka Overnight Plan are available, both of which include night service on the WEST EXPRESS Ginga (Sanyo Route) and a ride on a Series 50 passenger train (a locomotive will be connected to both ends of the train) used on the SL Hitoyoshi train.
Commemorative train passes (one per person) and original tour goods (one per person) will be distributed, and a goods sales event is scheduled to be held in the train.
