JR Tokai will hold a “Superconductivity Linear Experience Ride,” an event where visitors can experience a speed of 500 km/h, at the Yamanashi Test Center (271-2 Ogatsuyama, Tsuru City, Yamanashi Prefecture) in July.
This year, “Kids Linear School” will be held for elementary school students for the first time. Guided by employees involved in the development of the technology, visitors will enjoy learning about the mechanism and features of the superconducting linear train through workshops and a quiz rally, including a ride on the superconducting linear train.
In addition, “Linear Piyorin” (550 yen), a collaboration between Linear and Nagoya sweets “Piyorin”, will be on sale for a limited time starting May 29. In conjunction with this, an “X Campaign” will be held to commemorate the birth of Linear Piyorin and win a ride on the Superconductivity Linear Linear.
