JRA Kyoto Racecourse will hold “Kyoto Racecourse Presents Horse Banquet 2024: Takarazuka Kinen Drone Show in Heian Jingu Shrine” from June 13 to 15 to promote the Takarazuka Kinen.
Shows will be held twice on three days, at 7:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., and each show will last 10 minutes. The shows will be held in Okazaki Park (Okazaki Saikyoji-cho, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, etc.), adjacent to Heian Shrine, and will be free of charge to all visitors.
Five hundred drones will take off from the Eitenmon Gate of Heian Shrine and change shape from a horse’s hooves to a galloping horse, Pegasus. They will then change into summery shapes such as watermelons, straw hats, and fireworks.
In addition, visitors who take photos of the drone show and the horse statues that will be installed in the viewing area of Okazaki Park and post them on social networking sites with the message “#Takarazuka Kinen Drone Show” will receive an original card.
Note that this year’s Takarazuka Kinen will be held on June 23 at Kyoto Racecourse due to the refurbishment of the Hanshin Racecourse.
