JR Tokai Food Service will sell “Linear Piyorin,” a collaboration of the superconducting linear train and the Nagoya sweet “Piyorin,” at two Nagoya Station stores (Piyorin Station Cafe Jean Cyane and Piyorin Shop) from May 29 for a limited time. The coffee-flavored pudding made from Nagoya Cochin eggs is wrapped in white chocolate bavarois, and the wings and crest are represented in the same blue color as the Linear’s blue streamlines. The thick sponge dough is made to look like it is being “levitated” by the superconducting magnet unique to the linear train, and a chocolate plate of the linear train is attached to the dough.
