Swiss watch brand IKEPOD will release “Ripple of Kitty” from its SEAPOD diver’s watch series on November 1 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Hello Kitty’s birth. Reservations will be accepted from May 24.
The price is 390,000 yen, and reservations are accepted at Long Slow Distance Hiroshima, Long Slow Distance Tokyo, and UNITED SALON Nagoya.
The dark navy dial is reminiscent of the deep sea, with Kitty on the back of a dolphin, and the 50th minute position on the bezel has been changed in color to sea blue to commemorate the 50th anniversary.
The back of the watch will be engraved with “HELLO KITTY 50TH ANNIVERSARY” and the special 50th anniversary box will be signed by Hiroko Yamaguchi, the designer of Hello Kitty.
The first purchase includes a short white colored spare strap, which is designed to be worn by women as well.
