Kurobe-Unazuki Canyon Route abandoned to open to the public during FY2024. Kanezuri Bridge, due to postponement of restoration plan.

Toyama Prefecture has announced that the opening of the Kurobe-Unazuki Canyon Route, which connects the Kurobe Gorge from Zelkova Plain to Kurobe Dam, to the public and the release date of travel products will be postponed until after the 2025 season. The details will be decided as soon as the full opening date of the Kurobe Gorge Railway is announced.

Kurobe Gorge Railway announced on March 7 its plan to restore the Kanezuri Bridge, which was damaged by falling rocks in the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of 2024, with the full line between Zelkidaira Station and Kurobe Dam scheduled to open around October 1.

However, after the snow melted, a detailed field survey revealed that the damage to the slopes of Mt. Since it will take more time to restore the line than initially expected, the line will continue to operate between Unazuki and Nekomata stations.
