JR West and the Urban Renaissance Agency will conduct a demonstration experiment to distribute ICOCA commuter passes (3 months) between Sannomiya and Akashi Stations to new tenants of designated UR rental housing. The period covered is from June 20 to November 29.
A similar experiment was conducted in Canal Town West in 2023, and this time, five more apartment complexes, Kamitakamaru, Green Hills Higashi Maiko, Tamondai, Shin Tamon, and Akashi Maiko, will be included.
The commuter pass to be distributed is nicknamed the “Kikkake Area Pass. By distributing commuter passes that allow passengers to freely get on and off within the area, the company aims to create opportunities for people to learn about the attractions of areas other than the nearest station and to propose new lifestyles that make use of railroads.
A copy of the lease agreement must be submitted with the application, which is accepted through the website.
