Honolulu Cookie Company will release a limited summer flavor, “Ube,” on May 29. In addition to Hawaii company-owned stores, it will be available in Japan at select Costco, Amazon, and Yahoo!
Ube (ubey) is a purple yam grown in the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries. It has a unique flavor, and ube flavor cookies offer a vanilla aroma and sweet aftertaste.
