LG Electronics Japan will accept pre-orders for the LG CineBeam Q, a new model of the LG CineBeam lineup of ultra-compact 4K laser projectors, on the Make a Makuake website. Pre-orders will be accepted from 12:00 pm on May 30.
The projector is palm-sized and has a 360-degree rotating arm that can be used as a handle for carrying and a stand for installation. Weighing only 1.49 kg, the projector can be taken not only to the living room or bedroom, but also to places such as camping.
The screen position and focus are automatically adjusted during installation, optimizing the screen even if it is carried around and installed in different locations.
It can project at up to 120 inches with 4K image quality, and the 3-channel RGB laser, DCI-P3 154% (overall) color gamut, and 450,000:1 contrast ratio reproduce crisp images and realistic blacks.
It also features WebOS for access to Netflix, PrimeVideo, Disney+, YouTube, Apple TV+, etc. It supports USB Type-C power supply and can run on an external battery.
An early bird discount of up to 35% off will be offered on Makuake, and general sales are scheduled for around August.
