Tokyu and JR Tokai launch a 4-day/3-night sightseeing train plan from Yokohama to Shizuoka. Enjoy the nature at the foot of Mt.

On May 30, Tokyu Corporation and Central Japan Railway Company (JR Tokai) announced the operation of “THE ROYAL EXPRESS – SHIZUOKA FUJI CRUISE TRAIN,” a sightseeing train designed to promote and revitalize tourism in Shizuoka.

This 4-day/3-night plan departs from Yokohama via Atami and travels to Mishima, Hamamatsu, and Shizuoka. Utilizing THE ROYAL EXPRESS, which has been operated by Tokyu since 2017, JR East will operate between Yokohama and Atami, while JR Tokai will be in charge of the Atami – Shizuoka – Hamamatsu – Niiimachi route.

The period is from November 8 to December 16, with six 3-night/4-day plans. The trip fee starts from 750,000 yen per person.

On the first day of the itinerary, after a welcome ceremony at a lounge/cafe in Yokohama, the tour will depart from Yokohama Station at around 11:50 am. We will arrive at Mishima Station around 3:00 p.m. to view Sagami Bay, Suruga Bay, and Mt. Fuji while having lunch prepared by “El Maillon” French restaurant. On the first day, participants can choose from “Ochiairow” or “Numazu Club” as their lodging.

On the second day, we departed from Numazu Station around 11:00 a.m. and reached Niiimachi Station around 2:30 p.m. We had lunch at “Unamasa” (eel restaurant) on the train. We continued sightseeing in Nii-machi and stayed overnight at the “KIARA Resort & Spa Hamanako. They can enjoy the fantastic view of Lake Hamanako at dusk.

On the third day, depart around 11:00 a.m., have lunch by “Sasue Maeda Fish Store” in Yaizu, and arrive at Shizuoka Station around 2:00 p.m. There, we will visit the national treasure “Kunouzan Toshogu Shrine” (optional) and spend the last night at “Nihondaira Hotel”.

On the last day, we will leave Shizuoka around 11:00 a.m. and arrive in Yokohama around 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be served at “Rohan” restaurant. A farewell ceremony will be held in Yokohama to conclude the 4-day/3-night itinerary.

Reservations for the tour will be accepted on THE ROYAL EXPRESS website from May 31 to July 18. The number of applicants per tour is 30 (minimum 16), and in case of oversubscription, a lottery will be held.
