Posted on 2024-05-312024-07-06 by Editor in Chief

Although more and more people are using SNS to gather information about their travel destinations, even in this day and age, we are still interested in the recommendations of local people. In this section, we ask people who work at lodging facilities throughout Japan to introduce points of interest at the lodging facilities where they work and their favorite sightseeing spots in the surrounding area.

For this interview, we spoke with Junya Mitsuda of SANZA, which operates Anda no Mori Izu Ippekiko.

Facility Name: Anda no Mori Izu Ippeki Lake

Location: 836-2 Yoshida, Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture

–Please give us an overview of the facility.

Anda no Mori is surrounded by trees and has a terrace with a large garden that changes from season to season, offering a relaxing and healing experience. The hotel is filled with contents that children will be fascinated with, such as the “Tenshi no uchi (Angel’s House)” kids’ room and the “Nori Mono Hiroba (Carousel Plaza)” that children will love.

–What are some of the highlights or experiences that you would like to see or experience that you can’t find anywhere else?

The hotel offers a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities throughout the premises, and you can enjoy all of the facilities free of charge, so that “one day is not enough fun. In addition, please enjoy our chef’s colorful buffet-style menu featuring fresh seasonal dishes prepared by our chef using an abundance of Izu’s marine and mountain delicacies.

–What are your personal recommendations for nearby attractions?

At Lake Ipeki, located near Anda Forest, you can rent a bicycle and ride it around the lake to get a good sweat while being surrounded by lush nature. There are also other nearby spots that you and your children can enjoy together, such as Shaboten Park and Guranparu Park.

–Finally, any last words for our readers?

Anda no Mori welcomes small children! We support mothers and fathers with their babies so that they can stay at our hotel with peace of mind. As a three-generation hotel that satisfies the needs of the whole family, including children and grandchildren, we invite you to fully enjoy our facilities and services that incorporate children’s perspectives, paying attention to every detail.
