Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, operated by Tateyama Kurobe Kanko, has announced details of events to be held from June 1 to November 30 to commemorate the final operation of the Tateyama Tunnel Trolleybus, the only existing trolleybus in Japan.
The event will be held at Murodo and Daikanbo, the main venues along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, a mountain tourism route connecting Toyama and Nagano prefectures, and will be divided into three themes and periods.
As a common event during the entire period, a commemorative card will be given to trolley bus riders and commemorative mounts will be sold. In addition, limited menu items such as “Black Curry with Melty Cheese” and “Toro Tetsu Don” will be available, as well as limited-edition products such as miniature models and postage stamps.
