Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), in cooperation with the Shipowners’ Association of Japan, will hold an onboard tour of a car carrier on July 15 to familiarize children with ships and the sea. Advance registration is required for participation.
This will be the first time in five years, since 2019, that the giant 200-meter-long car carrier will be open for tours on board. Visitors will be able to see the bridge (ship’s bridge) and living quarters where cars are loaded and worked on board.
MOL Group executives and staff members will participate in the event as management staff, and there will be an exhibition related to the “Wind Challenger,” a rigid-wing sail wind propulsion system that reduces greenhouse gas emissions, as well as other events to encourage children to become interested in the sea and the maritime industry.
