Aomori x JAL x Hoshino Resort, Michinoku Festival and Buffet Full of Squid and Scallops Plan

Aomori Prefecture, JAL, and Hoshino Resort will jointly launch the “Nore Soretore Aomori Travel Campaign 2024 – Aomori Marukajiri”. The first phase of the campaign is a package plan to fully enjoy Aomori’s attractions through food and experiences, and will be on sale from July 1 to August 31.

The first phase of the campaign is a fair featuring squid and scallops (Aomori City is the nation’s largest consumer of squid and scallops), which are in season in summer. (23 Tochikubo, Okuse, Towada City, Aomori Prefecture).

Hoshino Resort Aomoriya will offer five kinds of dishes using squid, including “Squid Menchi,” “Squid Poppo-yaki,” and “Squid and Nebuta Zuke,” while Hoshino Resort Oirase Keiryu Hotel will offer four dishes using scallops, including “Scallop Nigiri Sushi,” “Scallop Sashimi,” “Scallop Curry,” and “Scallop Carpaccio.

The hotel also offers special offers for experiences, including a “Michinoku Matsuriya” show, a “kokedama making experience,” and a “moss gacha-gacha” (moss gacha-cha) where visitors can get original moss-related goods.

In conjunction with the campaign, JAL is also selling an original accommodation plan with special benefits, “Let’s go to Aomori Prefecture using Misawa Airport! Aomori Travel Campaign” through JAL Dynamic Package. The sales period is from June 3 to August 30, and the applicable stay period is from July 1 to August 31.

In addition, during the period, two pairs of four people will be selected by drawing from among those who follow the official Instagram account (@noresoreaomoritabi) and post with the hashtags “#Nore Sore Aomori Tabi Campaign” and either “#Aomori Prefecture”, “#JAL”, or “#Hoshino Resort” to win an Aomori trip. Aomori trip for two pairs of four people.

During the campaign period, the Aomori Nebuta Festival, one of the three major festivals in Tohoku, will be held from August 2 to 7.
