DEF is pre-selling “trussarmor,” a case that protects the outer circumference of the Apple Watch with the same truss structure as bridges and large buildings made of stainless steel and aluminum, on the support purchase service Makemake.
The design is inspired by the “truss structure,” a structure based on triangles used in large buildings such as bridges and steel towers, and is composed of three layers of parts.
The top plate and bottom parts are made of SUS304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance and durability, and the middle plate is a combination of A6063 aluminum alloy plates that can be color treated.
The bottom case extends outside the band attachment area and the digital crown area to protect the outer perimeter of the Apple Watch. The middle plate protects the display surroundings, and the top plate protects the display surface.
It is compatible with 44/45mm Apple Watch Series 4-9 and SE, and SE users can keep the case even if they change to a higher model in the future. Available in four colors: black and orange, black and graphite, silver and gold, and silver and blue.
The product will be available for sale to the general public for 24,800 yen, with an early bird discount of 24% off (18,800 yen) being offered on Makuake.
