Hakone Emoa Terrace, Dinner on the Orient Express train plan

Posted on 2024-06-072024-07-06 by Editor in Chief

Hakone Emoa Terrace by Onna Chishin (186-1 Sengokuhara, Hakone-cho, Ashigarashita-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture), a complex facility attached to the Hakone Lalique Art Museum, has launched a plan offering a dinner course on board an Orient Express train (15,950 yen per person) exclusively through “Otonami”. The plan is available exclusively at “Otonami”.

The Orient Express, a luxury salon car train for which René Lalique created the interior decorations in 1928 and operated between Paris and southern France until 2001, is normally operated as a restaurant from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Under this plan, it will be open for dinner after hours.

The event will begin with a cocktail-making experience in which participants will mix the colors of the Orient Express to their own liking, followed by a special commentary on the Orient Express and Lalique, and then a meal and sweets using many ingredients from Hakone.

The course consists of two appetizers, a fish dish, art sweets, and an after-dinner drink, and if you want additional alcohol or other drinks, you can pay only by credit card.
