Kugenuma Seaside Park GROWING PARK Group will renew “Fujisawa Municipal Kugenuma Seaside Park” and open as “Kugenuma Seaside Park HUG-RIDE PARK” (4-4-1 Kugenuma Kaigan, Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture) on June 1.
Utilizing the Park-PFI system, the first of its kind in Fujisawa City, the skate park was powered up to offer skateboarding, BMX, inline skating, and other activities.
The park has paid sections managed by Murasaki Sports, with a park area, beginner area, street area, ramp area, and BMX area. The fee is 400 yen per ride for high school students and older, and 100 yen for elementary and junior high school students. Opening hours vary depending on the season.
The park area is designed for skaters, riders, and surfers of all levels to enjoy, with a mini bowl for entry-level skaters and a surf skate zone for surf-like riding.
A black pine, the city tree of Fujisawa, is located on the north roadside, and a palm tree is located in the center of the park space. A new parkway, “Enoshima Way,” and lawn area are also provided to enjoy the view of Enoshima Island.
The park will have a parking lot with immediate access to the ocean, toilets and showers, and will be conveniently accessible to surfers.
In addition, four wooden buildings will house food and beverage and other tenants.
