On June 12, JORDAN launched Yui Rail digital tickets and started authentication at automatic ticket gates. This was made possible through collaboration with Okinawa Urban Monorail, Nippon Signal, and Bank of the Ryukyus.
In addition to the same-day unlimited-ride ticket (650 yen), 24-hour unlimited-ride ticket (800 yen), and 48-hour unlimited-ride ticket (1,400 yen), a new “off-peak unlimited-ride ticket” is available. The ticket allows unlimited rides between 10:00 and 16:00 on weekdays and costs 500 yen.
In addition, to commemorate the start of this initiative, 3,000 tickets for unlimited rides for 24 hours, which normally cost 800 yen, will be sold for a limited number of 600 yen.
Existing digital tickets could only be used with smartphones that do not have a transportation IC card application installed, but the new digital ticket is not limited by this restriction. They are the first such initiative that can pass through Nippon Signal’s automatic ticket gates.
