On June 12, Shirohato announced SHIELD TALK, a gadget for remote meetings.
It is a mask-shaped sound reduction device, and by attaching the microphone of the included headset to the lower part of the unit, it has the effect of reducing the echo of one’s voice to the surroundings. By using ShieldTalk, normal conversation can be made inaudible even at a distance of 70 cm. The company’s acoustic tests confirmed a sound reduction effect of -20 dB.
The product is scheduled to go on sale this fall.
