JR Hokkaido and JR East will put the “Hokkaido & East Japan Pass” for the summer of 2024 on sale from June 20 to September 24. Priced at 11,330 yen for adults and 5,660 yen for children, the Pass will be available at major JR Hokkaido/JR East stations, reserved-seat ticket vending machines, and major travel agencies.
The pass is valid for seven consecutive days from July 1 to September 30, and allows unlimited rides on ordinary and rapid trains and JR East’s BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) system in the JR Hokkaido/JR East area, Aoimori Railway Line, Iwate Galaxy Railway Line, and Hokuetsu Kyuko Railway Line.
Limited express trains such as the Shinkansen are not eligible. However, if the trains depart and arrive mutually within the Hokkaido Shinkansen line between Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto and Shin-Aomori, passengers can board standing seats (available seats) with the purchase of a specified limited express ticket. In addition, as a special exception, unreserved or reserved seats in ordinary cars of limited express and express trains are available on the following sections.
