Hotel New Akao (1993-250, Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture) will hold a “Showa 100 Year Countdown Promotion” for one year from July 1 to commemorate the year 2025 as the “Showa 100 Year Anniversary.
As a first step, an event will be held from July 1 to commemorate the first anniversary of the Ocean Wing building, which opened in July 2023, and from July 1 to August 31, a “Hotel New Akao Photo Exhibition” will be held. Photographs taken during a stay at the hotel will be collected to create a mosaic artwork that resembles the hotel’s exterior.
From July 1 to 31, the “Hotel New Akao Certification Test” will be held. There will be three courses, from beginner to advanced, and those who answer all questions correctly will be awarded the title of “New Akao Master” and prizes. The hotel has also prepared core questions that are difficult even for hotel staff.
During the same period, the “open-air rose bath” that was once offered in the past will be revived during the afternoon business hours only. Herbs and daily changing baths will also be available.
From July 5 to 7, a “Bingo Tournament” will be held. Bingo will be held from July 5 to 7, with prizes such as original goods to be won. In addition, the hotel will also hold a “Memorable Events at Hotel New Akao” contest on Instagram and other social networking services, and will revive for a limited time the events that receive the most submissions.
A package of four gâteau chocolates (900 yen) with a design of Atami’s marine fireworks display is also available in a limited edition package for the first anniversary of the Ocean Wing’s opening.
