ANA FESTA, which operates gift stores in airports, simultaneously launched the “3 Letter Code Tote Bag” at its stores in 24 airports in Japan on June 20. The price is 1,650 yen.
The 3-letter code is a three-letter alphabet used by IATA (International Air Transport Association) to indicate airports and their cities. It is used worldwide and is also indicated on airline tickets and airport billboards.
Each tote bag, available in a total of 24 types including CTS (New Chitose Airport), HND (Haneda Airport), FUK (Fukuoka Airport), and OKA (Naha Airport), is a limited edition product available only at that airport. They can be used as travel souvenirs, sub-bags for extra luggage, or for everyday use. The material is 100% cotton, and the size is 36 x 11 x 37 cm (W x D x H). Each is available in two colors, black and white.
The “PUSH BACK” logo is also placed on the back to evoke the start of a journey (pushback is the process of using a towing car to push an airplane on the tarmac to a place where it can begin its own journey).
