Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture, has announced five projects for “Kako-chan,” the city’s attractive character drawn by illustrator Ito Noji, a local native and tourism ambassador, which have been implemented sequentially since June 17.
The first phase consists of four new poses with hands raised and lowered, which can be used by private businesses free of charge, as in the past. In addition, new life-size panels have been created, and together with the two existing poses, a total of six panels have been installed throughout the city.
The second one is Banner Jack, and the plaza in front of Kakogawa Station will be decorated with Kanoko-chan. The period is from July 1 to September 30.
Volumes 3-5 will be announced in the future.
