YANWAI TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL has launched a pre-order of its power-assisted smart electric wagon, “Outisan e-Wagon Ultra,” on Makuake.
The scheduled general sales price is 179,000 yen; the 40% off super-early bird discount is 107,900 yen, and the 30% off Makuake limited price is 125,000 yen. The application period is from June 26, 11:00 a.m. to August 30, 18:00 p.m.
The outdoor wagon, which sold more than 35 million yen in its first overseas sales and won the 2024 Red Dot Design Award, has arrived in Japan for the first time. It is equipped with a powerful motor that can easily carry a load of up to 100 kg on a slope with a gradient of 15 degrees or less, and can travel uphill without load as the smart assist is activated according to walking speed with a light tug on the handlebars.
Uniquely designed rubber tires can handle all types of terrain, including grass, gravel, and mud. They can carry photographic equipment and camping gear while overcoming obstacles. A removable battery pack is included, with a maximum range of 11 km on a full charge of approximately 3 hours.
The highly durable yet foldable metal frame measures 107.5 x 56.5 x 113.2 cm (W x D x H) when unfolded and 51 x 56.5 x 65 cm when folded. 200 L maximum capacity in normal operation can be expanded to 250 L by opening the back gate. In addition, the optional cargo net can be used to carry up to 500 liters of luggage.
