ANA Foods will start selling “thick banana ice cream using Seijo Ishii x ANA Tanabe Farm bananas” (323 yen) on June 29. It will be available at 82 Seijo Ishii stores that have a cold food corner, Seijo Ishii’s online store “Seijo Ishii.com”, and the airport gift store “ANA FESTA” in sequence.
This ice cream is made from off-spec bananas from the Tanabe Estate in Ecuador. A high puree ratio of 40% was used to maximize the sweetness and flavor of the banana, resulting in a smooth texture and a taste that will keep you coming back for more even if you eat a whole one.
The banana puree developed by ANA Foods for the first time was the result of numerous visits to local processing companies and trial production, and was completed by ripening the bananas for an extended period of time before processing, resulting in a distinctly higher sugar content of over 21 degrees.
Seijo Ishii recommends leaving the ice cream at room temperature for about five minutes after taking it out of the freezer, and eating it when it is slightly melted, which allows the flavor of the ice cream and the sweetness of the banana to be fully appreciated.
