Universal Studios Japan will hold the “Back to Hogwarts” event on September 1.
In the Harry Potter books, September 1 is celebrated as “Back to Hogwarts” in real life, as it is the day when the students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry return to Hogwarts for the new school year. The event will be held for the first time as the “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” area will be celebrating its 10th anniversary.
On that day, visitors can stay at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter from 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., which is after the park closes, and can use some attractions and stores, including Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and the Butterbeer Cart.
The Special Event Pass (9,400 yen) is required to attend the event and is limited to 934 people through LOTIKE, with the first lottery held from June 27 to July 7 and the second lottery from July 15 to 21, followed by first-come, first-served sales from July 29 to August 18.
