Summer Disney is all about Baymax! Additional Water-Mounted Trailer Makes “Mission Cool Down” Even More Powerful!

Posted on 2024-07-012024-09-04 by Editor in Chief

Tokyo Disneyland will hold a summer-only program from July 2 to September 18. Here is an early look at the press release.

Baymax Mission Cool Down” is a water sprinkling program that will be performed three times a day for approximately 35 minutes along the parade route. Baymax, the care robot from the Disney movie “Baymax,” is the star of the show.

Baymax will help guests cool down with a large amount of water and mist to raise their “energy level” that has been lowered by the heat. When Baymax researches and detects areas in need of care, he and his float will stop. The water is then sprayed with great force to create a cool and comfortable space.

At the beginning of the film, the interaction between Hiro and Baymax is heartwarming. We learn that the mission is to protect the people of the city from the heat and that Baymax has installed water research data. Fred also mentions the aqua tornado that spews out like a raging wave.

When the parade begins, Baymax introduces himself. Then he scans his energy level from 1 to 10. The information is displayed on the float’s display, so be sure to check it out as well. Also, if you look closely at the float, you will see that it is loaded with equipment designed to remind you of the other members of the parade. Baymax will give you advice on how to cope with the heat, such as frequent rehydration.

The second float includes a microbot and Mochi the cat. Mochi’s legs are equipped with equipment for flying. The cute, round figure is a must-see. There is also an instruction manual for “Hydro Blast 3.0. It is fun to imagine that this large piece of equipment is Hiro’s creation.

When the float detects an area in need of care, it stops all together and the mission begins. It is also a fun moment when Baymax casually & academically explains how to raise the energy level before sprinkling water.

Once the preparations are complete, the sprinkling of water starts simultaneously. The parade route becomes very exciting! When the energy level reaches its maximum, Baymax starts scanning and moving again.

A similar program was held in 2023 and was well received, but this year the amount of water has been further enhanced with the addition of a trailer with a large amount of water behind the float. Enjoy the bright and cheerful music, the beauty of the water that erupts as the parade begins, and a time full of watering holes.

Since the amount of water applied varies depending on the viewing location, you should choose the area at your own pace & the amount of water you want to be exposed to.
