The long-awaited summer program at Tokyo Disney Resort started on July 2. If you want to spend more comfortable time in combination with the parks, a stay at a Disney hotel is a must. We recommend that you enjoy the parks to the fullest and then smoothly enjoy lunch or dinner at a reserved hotel restaurant.
This time, we would like to introduce the “SuiSui Summer” Empire Grill Dinner, which is being offered until August 31 at the Empire Grill in the Disney Ambassador Hotel, which can be enjoyed during dinner time.
The restaurant, which serves California cuisine, offers a course menu featuring the park’s popular “SuiSui Summer” design.
We tasted the appetizer “Romaine Lettuce Wedge Salad with Beef Tongue Confit and Chickpea Mojitos” and the main dish “Grilled Beef Sirloin”. And the dessert “Coconut Parfait Glass with Lime-flavored Pineapple Sorbet”.
The “Romaine Lettuce Wedge Salad with Beef Tongue Confit and Chickpea Mojitos” is served on romaine lettuce with avocado, mayonnaise and mustard sauce. Grilled beef tongue confit is also served on the side, making it a satisfying appetizer. The bucket is filled with chickpeas and Gorbi-Jack cheese. The bucket is served with a side of tomato sauce, which is also perfect for summer.
The main dish, “Grilled Beef Sirloin,” is grilled to just the right degree of doneness and tenderness, and is delicious enough to be enjoyed even by those whose appetites are waning in the summer. There are three kinds of sauces to accompany the beef sirloin. You can taste it with three different sauces: chimichurri made with red onions, which originated in Argentina, Tasmanian mustard, and BBQ. It is fun to find the best one for you as you eat. The mashed potatoes were accented with a nutty texture.
Then, we moved on to the “SuiSui Summer” dessert, a coconut parfait glass with lime-flavored pineapple sorbet. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their sunglasses are dazzling decorations. The palm tree motif fruit, calpis-flavored espuma that expresses the movement of clouds, and blue curacao jelly are reminiscent of the blue sea.
The course also comes with an “Original Charm”. It depicts Mickey Mouse and his friends relaxing on the beach, and every time you look at it, you will be reminded of one of the courses and desserts.
The set also includes an amuse bouche, soup, and tea. The main course also includes “Seafood Platter” and “Empire Grill Surf and Turf,” which can be ordered for an additional 2,000 yen, so you can choose according to your preference.
Also available is the “SuiSui Summer” special drink (1,500 yen). This drink, inspired by the summer sea, uses kiwi to represent palm trees and other plants. In addition to the cool visuals, the refreshing taste of grapefruit juice and blue syrup adds a bit of nostalgia to the drink. This drink comes with an “original coaster” with Donald Duck and Daisy Duck patterns.
