Pioneer launched the official version of its MOTTO GO navigation app for motorcycles on July 4.
The system provides route search by engine displacement category, counts the number of traffic signals, right/left turn points, and information on intersections through voice guidance and on-screen display. The system also supports information on risks associated with driving, such as “sharp curves,” “traffic control,” “traffic congestion,” and “weather.
In addition, the “Spot Information Notification” function provides voice notifications of nearby rest areas, restaurants, recommended sightseeing spots, touring courses, and other information.
Based on the “MAPLE Sightseeing Guide Data Series,” information on facility locations and hours of operation is also provided via voice and on-screen display. The displayed information can be added to stopover points and routes can be set with a single tap.
It can also be used as a reminder of stores you would like to visit, with an audible notification when you pass by a location you have registered as a favorite.
Hands-free operation with voice commands is also currently offered as a trial feature.
