AirAsia adds new lineup of in-flight meals on Thai routes. Chicken Boat Noodle/Sticky Rice Dessert Wrapped in Banana Leaves

Posted on 2024-07-062024-09-04 by Editor in Chief

On July 1, AirAsia added a new lineup of in-flight meals on routes to and from Thailand. The new lineup will be offered on flights operated by Thai AirAsia (FD) and Thai AirAsia X (XJ).

The popular Thai dishes “Quit Ao Rua” and “Khao Tom Mud” have made their first appearance, and “Longan Juice” and “Longan Americano” made with Lampoon’s specialty longan have been brought back by popular demand.

Quittiao Rua is rice noodles served with chicken meatballs and large pieces of chicken cooked in a soy sauce-based sauce. Served with special soup.

Khao Tom Mud is a dessert of sticky rice flavored with banana and coconut milk and wrapped in banana leaves. The steamed sticky rice is filled with a chocolate spread, a modern twist on a traditional Thai dish.

Other menu items on this flight include “Pad Thai wrapped in egg” and “Basil Fried Chicken,” which will make passengers feel like they are traveling to Thailand.
