Maisonette, which operates super public bathhouses and other facilities, will hold an outdoor sauna festival, “Kyoto Sauna Operation 2024,” on September 21-22, 2012. The venue is a futsal court adjacent to Fushimi Chikara no Yu (130 Aoike-cho, Takeda, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture).

The Kyoto Sauna Expo, for which tickets were sold out immediately last year, has been upgraded this year. In addition to the largest sauna in Japan, the water bath, an essential part of the sauna experience, will be made from natural underground spring water from Fushimi, Kyoto. In addition, there will be a lawn space for outdoor bathing, an aufgoose show, and sauna meals, a specialty of sauna facilities throughout Japan.

The venue will also feature a variety of sauna cabins, including a tent sauna, a barrel sauna, a sauna truck, and a “Sabbath,” a retired route bus car converted into a full-scale wood-fired sauna.

Advance tickets for admission to the sauna area (including bath fee for Fushimi Chikara no Yu, separate charge for Aufguss, free admission to the food area) will be available at Ticket Pia from August 1. Advance tickets are 5,500 yen, and day-of-performance tickets are 6,500 yen. If advance tickets are sold out, no day-of-performance tickets will be sold.
