JR East will offer a discount on points for some “Shinkansen e-Ticket (JRE POINT Privilege)” tickets for travel between August 20 and September 12.
Eligible passengers will be those with reserved seats in the regular coach of the Yamabiko train departing from and arriving at Sendai Station, and those departing from and arriving at Morioka Station will not be eligible. The exchange rate between Tokyo Station, Ueno Station, Omiya Station, and Fukushima Station, Shiroishi Zao Station, and Sendai Station is normally 7940 points, but during the period, the exchange rate will be reduced by 3000 points to 4940 points.
As usual, tickets can be purchased from one month prior to the boarding date until four minutes before departure. The number of seats available is limited.
