Tateyama Kurobe Kanko will launch a collaborative project with Studio Chizu, the production company behind the animated film “Wolf Children: Rain and Snow,” on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, a world-class mountain tourism route linking Toyama and Nagano prefectures.
Directed by Mamoru Hosoda, a native of Toyama Prefecture, the film is set in Tateyama Kurobe and depicts the natural beauty of Mikurigaike and Murodou-daira. In the first phase of the collaboration (July 27-August 31), a summer event will be held to obtain limited cards by strolling through the scenery of the story to Mikurigaike Onsen (Mikurigaike Hot Springs) at the top of the Mikurigaike Observation Deck stairs.
The company plans to continue to hold events such as a panel exhibition at the Murodo Terminal, where visitors can enjoy the world of the film and the great nature of Tateyama Kurobe together.
