fav hospitality group will open an oceanfront hotel “FAV LUX Shodoshima” (Shodoshima-cho, Shodo-gun, Kagawa Prefecture) overlooking the Seto Inland Sea in summer or fall 2025.
Located in an area dotted with tourist attractions such as Roadside Station Olive Garden and the national park Kanzake Gorge. Shodoshima is the second largest of the islands in the Seto Inland Sea and is blessed with a mild climate throughout the year, allowing visitors to enjoy sea bathing and marine sports such as sea kayaking in the summer.
There are 45 guest rooms in total. They have a modern design with wood-toned furniture and large windows. All rooms will have private balconies overlooking the rich nature and the Seto Inland Sea. The suites will also have a sauna and garden pool.
The building features a spa, café lounge, bar space, and souvenir store. The thermal spa “edén” is a fusion of a sauna and swimming pool, with a calm atmosphere, an infinity pool overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, and a 90°C Finnish sauna with automatic lowruu. The outdoor lounge space allows guests to relax and enjoy craft beers and sparkling lines.
The café lounge on the first floor is designed with natural materials to blend in with the coast of Shodoshima. Breakfast and light meals using mainly locally grown ingredients will be served. The first-floor bar and lounge will feature an earth-colored lobby with a store selling Shodoshima and local specialties and folk crafts.
